The first visit from NC

March marked the first time that Grandma & Grandpa Z got to visit their TX grandbabies... and, of course, meet the loquacious and loving "Nanny Sue", our "night nanny". Mom arrived first and got to meet Lucy (who made it home before Cooper) and dad followed a few days later. Mom actually made it to our house before Cooper came home!).
Having never had kids before we can't say for sure how different this "first meeting of the grandparents" was compared to "normal". All we know is that it was great to have more help, more prayer & more love... Thanks for coming in our time of need mom & dad. Incidentally, welcome to our new existence mom & dad... We're scared, emotional, and thrilled at the same time... (Sounds like "parenting" to me, huh?!). What a joy to finally have our kids HOME TOGETHER and for mom & dad to meet them both!
While we continued to be overwhelmed with God's goodness in the miracle of Cooper & Lucy and their general good health (hey, they were healthy enough to be sent home with us, right? ... right?) any slight sound from them or their dreaded apnea monitors - even loose wires - and we'd shoot out of bed like a cat out of a bathtub! Sooooooo, unfortunately for mom & dad, we found ourselves pretty bound to the house (and the nursery specifically) while mom & dad visited because Cooper & Lucy were "wired" 24-hours a day to the monitors (OK, UNC basketball did provide a few exceptions). Despite the mild stress we did have some fun times marvelling at their frail beauty ...
Thanks again, mom & dad, for coming and helping!!!
